Abstract

The Education Council was established based on Permendiknas Noumber 044/U/2002. The Education Council as an independent institution takes a role in improving the quality of education services as well as providing consideration, direction and support for personnel, and SARPRAS. It is also recommended as educational supervision at the national, provincial, district/city levels that does not has a hierarchical relationship. The research objectives described: 1) The role of the Education Council in improving educational services in Ternate, such as providing consideration, direction and support, SARPRAS and education supervision; 2) Obstacles of the Education Council in improving education services in Ternate. The research location was on the Secretariat of the Education Council. The research subjects were the administrators of the Ternate Education Council. The sources of data were informants, places and events/events, documentation. The data collection techniques were using interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out by data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicated that the existence of the Education Council as a partner of the government has been effectively going on, although there are still many shortcomings. The role of the Board of Education basically covers; (1) giving consideration to the government in order to form a Mayoral Regulation Number 42 of 2017 concerning Compulsory Hours of Study for the Ternate Community, (2) supporting the DPRD in discussing the momentclature of transferring SMA, SMK/MA to the North Maluku Provincial Government, (3) controlling the transparency and accountability in the use of BOS and BOSDA. (4) taking a part as a mediator to bridge the community's rejection of two elementary school principals in Ternate. The obstacles faced by the Board of Education lays on; finances, lack of socialization, and the busyness of each board due to different work backgrounds.

Abstract

INFORMATION LITERATION AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION STRENGTHENNING EFFORTS TO IMPROVE TEACHING EFFECTIVENESSThis study was intended to find strategic and method to increase teaching effectiveness through information literation and interpersonal variables. The study utilyzed a correlational approach and SITOREM analysis which consist of two independent variables, they were information literacy and interpersonal communication, and one dependent variable that was teaching effectiveness. This research was conducted at a private vocational school in Rancabungur District in 2021. The population in the research was 155 teachers and 112 samples were selected using proportional random sampling. The method used in this study was a survey and data analysis techniques, with statistical tests of correlation and simple liniear regression and multiple linear. The results were as follow; firstly, there was a significant positive relationship between literation information (X1) and Teaching Effectiveness (Y) variables where correlation coefficient ry1 = 0,494 and determination coefficient r2 = 0,244. Secondly, There was a significant positive relationship between Interpersonal communication variable (X2) with Learning Activity (Y), where the correlation coefficient ry2 = 0.788 and determination coefficient r2 = 0.620. Thirdly, there was a significant positive relation  between Literation Information (X1) and  Interpersonal Communication variable altogether compare with Learning Effectiveness (Y) which was pointed as correlation Coefficient ry12 = 0.825 and also Determination Coefficient r2y12 = 0.681. Based on those findings, it could be concluded that Learning Effectiveness could be risen up by strengthening Information Literation and Interpersonal Communication.

Abstract

THE TEACHER’S PRODUCTIVITY ENHANCMENT BY IMPROVING SELF EFFICACY AND VISIONER LEADERSHIPThe purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between self efficacy and visionary leadership toward teacher’s productivity. The study was conducted in Vocational High School at Ciawi Region. The population of the study was 136 teachers and the sample taken was 102 teachers which were selected using proportional random sampling and data collection was got through questionnaires. The data analysing technique was done using correlation regression partial and multiple. The study result pointed out that there was positive correlation between self efficacy and teacher’s productivity (the correlation coefficient ry1 = 0,596 and the determination coefficient r2y1=0,355), there was positive correlation between visionary leadership and teacher’s productivity (the correlation coefficient ry2 =0,545 where the determination coefficient r2y2=0,297), and also there was positive correlation of self efficacy and visionary leadership to teacher’s productivity (the correlation coefficient ry12 = 0,648 and the determination coefficient r2y12= 0,419). Based on the above result study, it could be concluded that the teacher’s productivity might be improoved through self efficacy and visionary leadership either partially or concurrently.

Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP OF SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP STYLE AND SELF EFFICACY TO THE PERFORMANCE OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS AT KECAMATAN RANCAKALONG  SUMEDANG DISTRICTThis study was intended to formulate efforts that could be implemented in order to improve teacher’s performance by  studying its relationship with situational leadership style and self-efficacy. The population of this study were 183 PNS teachers and 126  samples were selected using the Yamane formula with an error tolerance was 5%.. Data were collected using an instrument in the form of  questionnairies and analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that therewere three positive and significant relationships. Firstly, there was a positive and significant relationship between situational leadership style and the performance of PNS teacher, where the correlation coefficient was 0.648. Secondly, there was a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and teacher performance, where the correlation coefficient value was 0.585. Thirdly, there was a positive and significant relationship between situational leadership style and self-efficacy altogether with teacher performance, where the correlation coefficient value was 0.719.

Abstract

IMPROVING TEACHER CREATIVITY THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF SERVANT LEADERSHIP AND SELF EFFICACYThis  research  implemented  a  correlational  research  and  SITOREM  analysis  which was consist of two independent variables, they were Serving Leadership and Self-.Efficacy and one variable thatwass tied to Teacher Creativity. This research was conducted at MA Negeri in Bogor Regency in 2021. The research population  consist of 147 teachers and there were 108 samples which selected using proportional random sampling. The method used in this research was by conducting survey and data analysis techniques followed by statistical testing and simple linier regression as well as multiple linier regression. The research result were as follow: firstly, there was a significant positive relationship between the  serving leadership (X1) and teacher creativity (Y) variable in the form of the regression equation Ŷ= 65,167 + 0,504 X1 and the correlation coefficient  ry1 = 0,511 and the coefficient of determination r2y1 = 0,261. Second, there is a significant positive relationship between sel efficacy (X2) and teacher creativity with regression of the equation form Ŷ= 62,883 + 0,482 X2 and the path coefficient ry2 = 0,584 and the coefficient of determination r2y2 = 0,342. Third, there is a positive and significant relationship between the serving leadership variable (X1) and self efficacy (X2) together with teacher creativity (Y) expressed in the form of regression equation Ŷ= 39,904 + 0,305 X1 + 0,366 X2 with the subordinate coefficient ry12 = 0,646 and the coefficient of determination r2y12 = 0,417. Based on these things, it could be argued that teacher creativity could be increased throught increased serving leadership and self efficacy.

Abstract

IMPROOVING SCHOOL EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHER SELF-EFFICACY AND SCHOOL CLIMATEThis research was intended to reveal whether teacher self-efficacy and school climate have a relationship with school effectiveness. The research used a correlational research method. Data collection was carried out on 83 private vocational school teachers in Ciawi. Data analysis was performed using inferential statistics using SPSS version 22.0. The research results were concluded based on statistical analysis and  resulted in 3 conclusions; 1) there was a positive relationship between self-efficacy (X1) and school effectiveness (Y). The correlation coefficient (ry1) was 0.076, and self-efficacy contributed 0.58% of the increasing in school effectiveness. 2) There was a positive relationship between school climate (X2) and school effectiveness (Y). The correlation coefficient (ry2) was 0.905, and the school climate contributed 81.9% to the increasing of school effectiveness. 3) There was a positive relationship between self-efficacy (X1) and school climate (X2) altogether to school effectiveness (Y). The correlation coefficient (ry1.2) was 0.998. The self-efficacy and school climate altogether contributed 99.5%  of school effectiveness. Based on these findings, it could be concluded that school effectiveness might  be increased by improving self-efficacy and school climate.

Abstract

IMPLEMENTATION OF TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT AS A LEADER'S EFFORT IN IMPROVING TEACHER PERFORMANCE AT DAARUL ULUM MODERN ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL, BOGOR REGENCYTotal Quality Management was a quality management system that focuses on customers and involves all employees in progression or continually improvements. Pre-study observations proved that the leader at Pondok Modern Daarul Ulum Kab. Bogor tended to apply a democratic leadership style in the development of Islamic boarding schools. In addition, there was a decrease in the number of graduates who continued studying abroad. This study aimed was to get relationship between the variables of democratic leadership style and Total Quality Management on teacher performance. The method used in this study was a survey with a correlational approach. The populations of this study were all teachers of Pondok Modern Daarul Ulum Kab. Bogor. The sampling method used a saturated sampling technique so that the entire population was used as a sample, as many as 244 teachers. During performing the analysis, the researcher used multiple linear regression analysis as well as hypothesis test that consisted of t test, F test and coefficient of determination test. By seeing the result, it could be seen that the democratic leadership style variable had a positive and significant relationship to teacher performance; meanwhile the Total Quality Management variable had no relationship to teacher performance.

Abstract

EVALUATION OF PROFESSIONALISM IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS THROUGH THE SUBJECT TEACHER MANAGEMENT (MGMP) IN BOGOR CITY (Stake Countenance Model Program Evaluation)This study aimed to determine the process of professionalism improvement program on geography teachers through The Subject Teacher Management (MGMP) in Bogor City by using the evaluation of the stake countanance model program. This program evaluation research focused on three components, namely the Antecedent, Transaction, and Outcomes components. The research method was a qualitative program evaluation. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the research obtained on the evaluation of  the antecedent components, from the eight aspects studied namely: needs analysis (needs assessment), formulation of program goals, objectives and policies, legality of program implementation, human resources (HR), facilities and infrastructure, budget /finance, it was indicated that the aspect of facilities and infrastructure must be improved. The availability of facilities and infrastructure for the needs of the teacher professionalism improvement program has not been able to fully support the implementation of the program, while the other seven aspects can be continued in accordance. In the transaction component, there were five aspects studied, such as activity procedures, program scheduling, program implementation, supports from school principal on program implementation, as well as monitoring and evaluation. In the transaction component, there were three aspects must be improved; activity procedures, program scheduling, and program implementation, while the other two aspects can be continued. The outcomes component examined one aspect as the results of program implementation. The aspect of the program implementation result has been in accordance with the standard, namely the professionalism increase of geography teachers.

Abstract

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT IMPROVEMENT THROUGH STRENGTHENING SERVICE AND PERSONALITY LEADERSHIPThis study aimed to find strategic method to improve employee engagement by examining the relationship between Servant Leadership and Personality with Employee Engagement. The population of this study were 404 private elementary school teachers in West Bogor District, Bogor City, with the sample chosen were 201 teachers who were determined using proportional random sampling. The data were collected using questionnaires, and the analysis technique used simple regression and multiple regression. The  results  showed  a  positive  relationship  between  Servant  Leadership  and Employee Engagement (ry.1  = 0,631, ρ0,01), and there was positive relationship between Personality and Employee Engagement (ry.2 = 0,799, ρ0,01), as well as positive and very significant relationship between Servant Leadership and Personality altogether with Employee Engagement (correlation coefficient ry.12 = 0,839, ρ0,01). Thus, it could be concluded that Employee Engagement could be increased through Servant Leadership and Personality, either partially or altogether.

Abstract

REVIEWING TEACHER CREATIVITY USING PRINCIPAL TRANSFORMATIONAL  LEADERSHIP AND INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATIONThis research was conducted to study the relationship between principal transformational leadership and interpersonal communication altogether with teacher creativity. The study was conducted at 10 Private Junior High Schools in Cibadak Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province in 2020. The population of this study were 201persons and 134  samples were selected using Proportional Random Sampling technique. The method used was conducting a survey and data analysis techniques utiliing statistical correlation and simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. The study came up with three results as follows; firstly, there was a significant positive relationship between the principal transformational leadership (X1) and teacher creativity (Y) where the regression coefficient Ŷ=71,347 +0.4328X1, the correlation coefficient ry1 = 0.6519 and the coefficient of determination r2y1 was 0.4250. Secondly, there was a significant positive relationship between Interpersonal Communication variable (X2) and Teacher Creativity (Y) which expressed in the form of a regression equation Ŷ = 49.074 + 0.6117 X2 and correlatioin coefficient ry2 = 0.7493 and also determination coefficient r2y2 = 0.5614. Thirdly, there was a significant positive relationship between the principal transformational leadership variable (X1) and interpersonal communication (X2) altogether to teacher creativity (Y) which expressed in the form of a regression equation Ŷ = 19.194 + 0.238 X1 +0.604 X₂ and the correlation coefficient Ry12 was 0.7754 and also the coefficient of determination R_y12 ^ 2 was 0.6013. Based on these findings it could be concluded that teacher creativity c be improved through the principal's transformational leadership and interpersonal communication.
